This strategy has been practiced in our English classes as a jumpstart or initial task for any literature or reading lessons. It can be a sort of activity for activating prior knowledge or schema that could be relevant to a new lesson that will be discussed .This could also be used as an formative assessment tool to enhance a specific skill in language like using opinion-marking signals in agreeing or disagreeing. It develops critical thinking among learners and fosters collaborative and integrative learning which can be applied across curriculum.
