- [Voiceover] Over time, you'll find that you'll build a community around your business. To do this, you'll want to make sure people feel you're a part of their lives. Think of it this way, if you send a hundred Christmas cards, then a certain number of those people are highly likely to send you one. But if you don't send any, you're probably not going to get any, and, just like in this situation, engage and you get engagement. There are some very simple ways for people to feel you're paying attention to them. First thing, make sure you like people's comments or you plus one (+1) them. You can favorite their tweets, which is nigh in accord with liking as well. You can reply to comment, you can ask them questions, all of this will get you more engagement in the comment threads as well. Keep reminding yourself, 'Engage and you will get more engagement.' And at the same time, do check that all this engagement is getting you towards your strategic goals as a business. Engagement is great…
