- [Instructor] When we run piping, we typically have nozzles which connect the piping to the component, allowing us to have a closed run from one piece of equipment to another. In some instances where this does not apply, we need to connect our piping to the component manually. An example would be water flowing into an open storage container. So, let's see how we would handle this scenario. Let's open our our Exercise 04_02 and take a look at what we have in this drawing. We're going to hover over this pipeline here, and you'll see that when you look at the flow, this line is connecting TK-4002A into pump 4002A. It's a closed run with a start and an end point. When we look at this line, however, you'll see that it's actually showing the run as being from the pump discharge from P-4002 into this tank. But since, in the real world, this just would be an open-ended piping connection into catch basin, we don't have a termination. Now, when we do a drawing validation, all piping must be…
