- [Narrator] When our P&ID gets little congested, it becomes difficult to run lines around equipment and other components without breaking them Let's take a look at the special tool that allows us to maintain our two front points, and break the line graphically without breaking the continuity. Let's open drawing 04_06, and take a look at this line that runs across the top of this tank. So if we're adding additional lines along the top of this tank here, and we have to move this line down, what we don't want to do is have a scenario like this. We can't have that line running through the tank, so we have to find a way to break that line, but we can't physically break it because that would create two break points and we would then be given two line segments. That line would no longer show terminating at TK407B. So what we have to do with this is we have a schematic line edit tool.
