- We already know that technology is a critical part of any event. And, as event planners, it's our responsibility to ensure that every event has the right combination of power, internet, light, and sound that it needs to be successful. We work hard to identify the needs of our teams and devise a plan that supports them. However, even the most meticulously laid plans are subject to the occasional mishap, which is why the final key component of any event technology plan is reliable on-site tech support. Even if the event you're planning is what you consider a fairly simple one, having on-site support can make a big difference. The reason I recommend this is because you'll likely be working in someone else's space and using someone else's equipment. So even if you're super tech-savvy and plan to bring some of your own equipment, it's still good to have someone on-site who's familiar with the environment and can troubleshoot, if needed.
