Creating a parking lot surface
- [Instructor] Now that we have the curbs and daylighting established, let's turn what we have into a parking lot surface. We're going to build this surface in two parts, and by the way, there are several ways that you could go about doing this. One way might be to close off this whole construction with the feature line right here. Create in fills between all of these spaces, and end up with a single grading group that's nothing but grading objects, feature lines, and in fills. So you have the whole parking lot represented with one grading group. Another way we could have done this is, instead of feature lines to generate these curbs, we could have used grading objects, I could have created a grading object that projected from here to a distance at whatever elevation distance or whatever slope the curb gutter is. Done the same thing here and here, and then to the back as well. But we chose to go the feature line route. And what I've learned in this case when you've constructed this…
