The DNA of 1-point perspective
- Okay, so we're going to backtrack just a bit to explore the DNA of 1-point perspective. Now that we've covered the rotated plan of 2-point perspective. Perhaps you're scratching your head wondering why didn't we just start with 1-point perspective? The reason is twofold. First of all we'll focus primarily on 2-point perspective throughout this course, it's more commonly used in design sketching, and secondly, I wanted to make that critical connection between orthographic and 2-point perspective as quickly as possible. Nevertheless, it's important to understand the make up and mechanics of 1-point perspective. If for no other reason than to understand 2-point better, because of course, they're closely related. So despite the fact that we won't focus much on 1-point perspective for the remainder of the course, The elements, the DNA required to generate 1-point perspective sketches is very similar to that of 2-point perspective.
