2D drawing tools for metal
- [Instructor] 2D drawings have been the standard communication vehicle for mechanical design for more than a century, and they continue to be a requirement for many. Fusion 360 generates these drawings directly from the 3D model, and the drawings will update as the model changes. We'll begin either using the File pull down and creating a new drawing, or going to the Drawing Workspace and selecting From Design. By default, Fusion 360 will be ready to do a drawing view of the entire assembly, though you can bypass this and select an individual component. You can then choose what template you might like to use, what standard you want to dimension to, what units you want to dimension in, and then what sheet size you want. I'll select ASME, in metric, on an A size sheet. Clicking OK. It will generate the drawing page and give me a preview of the drawing view. The orientation is by default set to front. The front view is based on the face of the view cube or the direction of the front face…
