Exercise: The easiest game design exercise in the world
- [Instructor] Welcome to the easiest game design exercise in the world. Within the next 10 minutes, you're going to make an entire game from beginning to end. And notice I said a game, not a good game or a bad game, just a game. I've used this exercise with everyone from graduate students to second graders with success. You can't possibly do it wrong. So here's what you're going to need. A sheet a paper, two coins or two similar objects which can represent players. You're going to need a pen and a single die. A digital one is absolutely fine if you want to download an app and if you can't, grab a second sheet of paper, rip it into six pieces, number each, and crumple them up so you can't tell which is which. Today, we're going to create what's known as a race to the end game. So the first step in this is understanding the pattern and that we've all played race to the end games.
