Manual testing
- Testing is the art of looking for all possible combinations of adverse and positive effects on a software, and applying a condition to them. This is done by many ways, one of which is manual testing. This term is a bit deceiving. Manual tests often involve some automated aspects. Manual really means that the test is kicked off, executed or stewarded through the process by a person. The emphasis on cognition to execute is the most evident distinction of manual testing, being held within the confines of the human condition to conduct such tests. Approaching an application with an eye to know more about it is the premise for all testing, and testing the same way a user would engage with the software speaks very much to the breadth and possibilities of testing. No one uses a tool the same way, so considering all of the ways a tool can be used may inform how much testing is needed.
