Art brush overview
Artbrushes apply artwork to a path. They stretch to the length of any path to which they are applied. Normally, you create your own artbrush, and then you bend it, stretch it, or squeeze it onto any path. The same artbrush can be applied to a long, or short stroke. There are so many different ways in which you can work with artbrushes. In this chapter, we will look at how we can create realistic, textured brushes, as well as utilize the artbrush to create whole groups of objects. There's lots of flexibility here. This is an example of some of the art that we'll be creating in this chapter. As you can see, we have things that vary from traditional, watercolor-type strokes, to vectored artwork that is stretching along a path. I've also created more complex artwork by combining artbrushes together. And finally, we're going to use watercolor types of effects to turn flat artwork into more of a painterly type of effect.…
