Sometimes you'll create a brush that has one or both distinct ends and when you use the art brush your art is going to stretch equally along the path or scale to the path. Wouldn't it be great to be able to selectively control how the brush is stretched? Well, you can do that by augmenting the Stretch Along Guides option. Let's look at how this is accomplished. I'm going to go ahead and I'm going to select the eel artwork that I've created here and I'll convert this into an art brush by dragging it into my brush library. I'm going to select new Art Brush and I'll click OK. In the Art Brush Options we're going to give this a name of eel and for right now we'll just use the default brush scale options of Stretch to Fit Stroke Length. I'm going to go ahead and click OK and when I draw a path across my document, you can see that the art brush is being applied to the path. We are getting quite a bit of distortion. As you…
