Tethering with Sony's Camera Remote Control
- Let's explore the workflow for working with a Sony camera. Sony offers a free utility and it allows you pretty good control over the camera itself. What you're gonna need to do is make sure that the camera is connected. So what I've done here is I put the camera on a tripod and I've connected it into the USB port. Now this is gonna likely use a micro USB connection, so either use the cable that you were provided, or a third-party one should be fine. I've taken that into my Tether Tools cable here, so it's easy to then extend it all the way over to the computer. Now you might have to go into your menu and check your USB settings. What you're looking for is for the PC control option, not the option that puts the camera into a hard drive mode to try to transfer data. This PC control is gonna allow for controlling of the camera and the transfer of images. Now we've got just about everything set up over here on the camera itself. Let's go over to the computer and check the setup there…
