- [Instructor] The Office Deployment Tool allows you to customize the way that Office is deployed and one of the customizations that you can make is configuring Office to download updates from system center configuration manager, so let's take a look at how that works. As you may recall, when you install the Office Deployment Tool, there are several sample XML files that also get installed. So let's go ahead and take a look at one of those sample configuration files. What I'm going to do is right-click on configuration Office365x64.xml. This is the XML file that serves as a sample for how to install the 64-bit edition of Office. I'll right-click on this and I'll open this with Notepad. So the line in this file that we're interested in is this line right here and you can see that there are two things going on in here. First of all, we're setting up the Office Client edition.
