Aperture priority mode
- Aperture priority mode is most useful when you want precise control over aperture. For example, you can choose an aperture control the depth of field, and the camera will automatically select the right shutter speed for a proper exposure. To shoot in aperture priority mode, just turn the dial to AV for aperture value. You may have to press the button to release it. And you see AV mode for aperture value. I find that this mode is quite useful when doing things like shooting portraits and I want to control the blurring of the background. Aperture priority lets you choose any aperture that your lens supports. To change the aperture, just change the main dial of the camera. You'll notice here as I change this, the number here is updating. This particular lens supports a very small aperture of f/32 and can open to a very wide aperture of 2.8.
