- The word intuitive gets thrown around a lot to describe a lot of photographers' process and a lot of artists' process in general. And I've never really liked that word. And I'm possibly splitting rhetorical hairs here, but I think that what I don't like about that word is my idea of intuitive is that you have a feeling for something that is objectively correct. And there is no objective correctness to composition. Composition and any aesthetic value of photography is inherently subjective, so I feel weird about applying the word intuitive to it. You can just slap me right now if you want to, because I know that I'm going like way off in the. But I'm sitting here, at the same time, trying to tell you that you have a compositional sense and that you can work by feeling, so isn't that intuitive? Yeah, maybe it is.
