Using the shape editing tools to create a flat roof
- [Instructor] In this video we're going to look at an alternative way to create slope in your footprint roofs and that's using tools called the shape editing tools. Now I've got a few different roofs here on-screen to illustrate this tool set and the first thing you need to know about using the shape editing tools is they are exclusive, meaning that if you have a roof like this one over here that already has slope, you won't have access to the shape editing tools. So if I select this roof and we look at the ribbon, you'll see that there's only an Edit Footprint button, that's the only thing I can do to it. Now compare that to the other two roofs over here, this one and this one. These are flat roofs that have no slope and notice that we get a series of shape editing tools. So if you want to use the tools that I'm about to demonstrate, you need to start with a slab that's completely flat. Now all of these tools actually…
