Making copies and structured sets using arrays - Rhino Tutorial
From the course: Rhino 5 Essential Training
Making copies and structured sets using arrays
Next up, I'll show how to make copies in organized sets called arrays. There are actually six kinds of arrays, but we'll focus on three of the most common. Let's take a look where we're going to find those. It's under Transform Array, and we'll do the first kind, called Rectangular. I've been informed that we're running low on turtle boy heads, so we're going to have to make quite a few more. So the command is asking me to select the objects. So pick the first one and right clicker it, enter when done. The next up is we're going to have to give it the number in all three directions. So I'm going to do three in the x direction, three in the y, and three in z. Now the next part is asking us to define the spacing. So this'll be the space between each copy, so I'm going to type in 50 for the x spacing. Y spacing will be the same, 50. The z is the last one. We'll make that a little bit taller. 100. Now, it's hard to see sometimes, but it gives you a preview, depending on your background…
