Working with the Grid Snap and Grid Snap settings
In this video, I'll cover the very simple, but very useful Grid Snap. It's the first of the Modelling Aids on the screen, located at the bottom edge. We'll also check out the Options Control Panel and learn where to make these changes to the Grids appearance. Go ahead and click Grid Snap here at the bottom and turn it on. And I'm going to just pick a very simple point entity. So now as I move across the Grid you can see the snapping taking place. That is Grid Snap. There's actually a short cut to turn it off and on. You can hit F9. Now notice we're free to move around without the snapping. F9 turns it back on. Related command is to turn off the Grid itself, F7, but we'll turn that back on right away. So just a reminder. We've got the four Viewports open here. In each, the Grid represents the Construction Plane.
